Skipee
Queue-skip ticket booking for nightlife venues
A fast-track ticket booking portal for UK venues, with a management dashboard for sales and revenue.

The challenge
A long queue outside a venue costs money on both sides of the door. Guests who would pay to get in sooner have no way to do so, and the venue has no way to sell them that option.
Skipee’s idea is simple: let guests buy a “skip” for tonight and walk past the queue.
The requirement
- A booking flow quick enough to complete on a phone while deciding where to go.
- A way for venues to list their events and sell a limited number of skips.
- A dashboard where venue managers see what has sold and what it earned.
- Payment and ticket validation that door staff can rely on.
The solution
We built the customer-facing booking portal and the venue side together. Guests search for a venue or event, buy a skip and receive a ticket to show at the door.
Venue managers get the Skipee Manager dashboard: an overview of skips sold and revenue, with orders, events and account settings alongside.
Architecture
The booking experience and manager dashboard share a Node.js backend, with Firebase used for authentication and real-time data so that sales appear in the dashboard as they happen. The client applications are built in Flutter.
Technology
Flutter, Node.js and Firebase.
Outcome
Skipee has a working product for both of its audiences: guests can buy fast-track entry from their phone, and venues can sell it and see the results in one place.
